Australian Christian singer-songwriter Danny Alcorn continues his musical journey with the release of “Heart’s On Fire,” a new pop-rock single that adds another chapter to his growing catalogue of faith-inspired music.
The release comes as Danny continues to build his artistry around Christian faith, personal testimony and a desire to use music to share the message of Jesus. Originally from Busselton, Western Australia, he has spent years writing, recording and performing across different genres, including pop, hip-hop and rock. His journey into Christian music, however, brought a deeper shift in the purpose behind his songwriting.
Danny’s catalogue includes songs such as “Victory,” “Walking on Water,” “Child of God” and “Movies,” each reflecting different aspects of his faith journey. “Victory,” his first worship song, was inspired by looking back on a decade spent living in rebellion against God and recognising the transformation that followed his surrender. The track went on to win first place in the Worship/Inspirational category of the InspireMore Christian Song Contest.
His growing presence in Christian music also earned him a place among the Top 5 finalists in the 2026 You, God’s Music Showcase. Travelling from Western Australia to San Antonio, Texas, Danny performed an original song at the Tobin Center before Christian artists Jordan Smith, Jordan Feliz and Blanca. The experience offered international exposure and encouragement from performers he had admired for years.
Beyond the recognition, the competition also created an opportunity to give back to his local church, Church 242, with approximately $4,700 raised through the campaign. It was another meaningful moment for an artist whose vision extends beyond personal musical achievements.
With “Heart’s On Fire,” Danny adds a new pop-rock release to a musical direction that also draws from Christian pop, country and worship. He is currently developing his debut Christian pop/country album while continuing to explore ways of reaching listeners through his songwriting and performances.
Danny works alongside Australian producer and audio engineer James Newhouse, whose professional credits include work with John Butler, The Waifs, San Cisco, Birds of Tokyo and Kasey Chambers.
Looking ahead, the singer hopes to expand his international reach and eventually pursue Christian music as a full-time touring career. His journey remains guided by the message of Isaiah 6:8: “Here I am. Send me.” This reflects his commitment to using his musical platform to share his faith and encourage others.
